Our invoices are payable in full upon receipt, without discount, or by draft only after prior agreement and before the invoice due date. Otherwise, late payment penalties will be due. The penalty rate is 20% per annum, with a minimum of €100. In case of dispute, the Commercial Court of our registered office shall have sole jurisdiction. In case of non-payment, the seller may terminate the sale automatically and without notice by sending a simple registered letter.
Transport
All deliveries are subject to these terms and conditions of sale and written order confirmation. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, delays in delivery shall not give rise to compensation or order cancellation, particularly in the following cases: • Payment terms have not been met; • Force majeure or any event that delays or suspends the delivery of goods.
Delivery
Delivery cannot exceed 30 days from order confirmation. If this period is exceeded, the customer can cancel the order by email and receive a refund. Outside the delivery area, please contact us so we can find a solution. Packages are generally delivered within 3 to 5 business days via UPS from the date of shipment.
Inclement weather such as snow or severe storms, transport strikes or lack of order confirmation constitute delivery delays beyond our control and cannot be held against us.
Wine preservation
Champagne should be stored lying down in a cool, dark place. Maintaining the effervescence depends on the bottles being stored in this consistent position. We use premium corks, and after a certain period of time, they do not return to their original shape: this does not affect the quality of the champagne.
Service
Champagne should be served chilled, but not ice-cold. The ideal temperature is 6°C to 8°C. Avoid prolonged storage in the refrigerator, as this can damage the wine. A half-filled ice bucket with water is preferable. For more information, please consult the descriptions of each champagne.
Claim
Any claims regarding the quality of the goods, excluding any transport disputes, must be made in writing within eight days of delivery by registered mail with return receipt requested.
No returns will be accepted without our written consent, which does not imply any acknowledgment. The goods remain the property of LES BULLES DU SURMELIN until full payment is received. Exchange rate risk is borne by the buyer. Any re-export of our wines, regardless of the country, is prohibited.
